An important occasion took place at the Syndicate Hall of Bushra Mateen Building, LCWU, as Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Adnan Noor Mian, representing Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) and Information Technology University of the Punjab (ITU) respectively, formally inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This significant agreement paves the way for fruitful collaborations in research, development, faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint efforts in organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops.
The origin of this MOU can be attributed to the vision of Dr. Asifa Kamal, Chairperson of the Department of Statistics, and Dr. Saima Farhan, Chairperson of Computer Science. The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the registrar, director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), deans, and senior faculty members from both institutions.
The execution of the MOU was carried out under the proficient guidance of Director ORIC, Dr. Faiza Saleem, and her dedicated team. Dr. Barira Bakhtawar, Public Relations Officer of LCWU, played her role in facilitating the ceremony between both institutions, while the event was efficiently managed with the invaluable support of Senior Estate Officer Sheikh Ghias ud din, Chief Security Officer Mr. Qadeer Sulehri, System Administrator Mr. Taimur Salam, Secretary to Vice Chancellor Ms. Mehreen Rana, and PA to Vice Chancellor Ms. Rabia.
The ITU delegation also took a moment to visit and commend the LCWU floral mosaic wall—a testament to the celebration of shared endeavors and mutual admiration.
