Political Science Department LCWU, conducted two days international conference on ‘Contemporary Trends in South Asian Politics’ chaired by worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz and co-chaired by Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal.
The inauguration of this magnificent event was held on 30th January 2024 to intellectually elevate our students and research scholars. Key note speaker Prof. Dr. Hasan Askari Rizvi and distinguished guests including Prof. Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt, (Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, UCP Lahore), Prof. Dr. Irum Khalid (Chairperson Department of Political Science, Punjab University) and renowned journalist, analyst and columnist Mujeeb-ur- Rahman Shami shared their valuable thoughts to engage academic community with the perspective to promote peace, prosperity and sustainability in the region.
Foreign experts Dr, Joanna Wawrzyniak from Warsaw University, Poland and Dr. Christina Horvath from Bath University, England virtually made their participation to extend the prestige of this conference. Scholars from Hiedelberg University Germany and from University of Ghent, Belgium shared their inspiring research. Respected session chairs and paper presenters from GCU, PU, Kinnaird College, Leads University, Virtual University, and FCU enhanced the vitality of this conference.
