Senior Management Committee Meeting at LCWU Condemns Student Misconduct

A meeting of the Senior Management Committee of Lahore College for Women University was held today, presided over by Vice Chancellor. The committee strongly condemned the inappropriate behaviour displayed by students the previous day towards teachers, senior faculty, and administration members.

It was noted that the protesting students were allegedly receiving instructions from external sources and acted in a disrespectful manner towards the teachers and security staff. The committee fully endorsed the actions taken by the Vice Chancellor, including the suspension of the accused sub-engineer, pending the submission of the harassment committee’s report. The Anti Harrasment Committee was revised, and DSA was included.

The Senior Management Committee decided that the university gates will open from 12:00 noon from tomorrow, 16 October 2024 onwards. Furthermore, counselling and training sessions will be organized for students, teachers, and staff to raise awareness about harassment and promote respectful behaviour. To ensure discipline across the campus, the university will also establish Proctors' boards.
